Mel's Resilience
Ima thinking put Mel's resilience under the Expertise att will stop all those annoying Mel's resilience builds aswell as some farming builds. On top of that i feel that this skill really .....'feels' like a ranger only skill if anyone can understand what i mean.
Its just a idea~

I feel you. But I'm not sure that it is that needed. Mel Warriors are not that hard to kill. Even as a ranger.

Its a good idea, i think if this does happen, it wont be used at all, and people will not find it that useful.
Nice thought though.

Nah, its been used by other professions for shits and giglges builds from the beggining.
However, you have to keep in mind that it REALLY isn't that good. If you are a warrior, you have to spec points into a fairly worthless attriubute, it takes up your elite (meaning no damage elite, so you basically "have" to run swords). And then, for PvP like RA smart players will just avoid hexing/conditioning you/ignore you until the rest of your team is dead.
The only place it is sorta good is in certain areas of PvE (shards of orr comes to mind).
It is far from overpowered or even that good. While it may seem more "rangerish" for balance that doesn't matter.

I don't see it as over powered, and I don't see it used that often. Even PvE farming doesn't use it often, as it uses up the elite slot.

This skill isn't even close to overpowered, and really there are very few builds that use it anyway, most of which are farming builds.

Wouldn't really fit in that attribute line, and the non-Ranger builds using it aren't effective anyways, not against intelligent players.

Not signed, I use it on my warrior for running to Sanctum Cay.
Nothing beats +20 health and +5 energy regen running through mergoyles and skales.

And /notsigned. Tell me an imba build that uses this and is completely OP and I might change my opinion. But currently I only can remember totem axe farming builds, and Totem Axes are cheap anyways.

^ This.
It's like calling for a nerf of Shield Bash because monks can defend themselves with it. It's not blatantly overpowered, and it's a decent counter to people who just think spamming conditions = automatic win. It's a stance so they probably don't have an IAS, plus it takes your elite slot. Not really overpowered.

VV Fair enough, my apologies. I read everything but I missed that two posts were yours.

lol totally not signed. before a skill is changed or even looked at to be changed you better have a ton of proof that its abused or imbalanced.

It's a mediocre survival skill, and it's elite. It's just doing what it's supposed to do: give you added survivability when hit with hexes and conditions.

Well, I'll say this for this thread: it made me realize what I should give my tank when doing Vloxen in hardmode.

Care to share with us:
Those anoying builds (drawcondition monk, i presume?).
Those farming builds (totem farm comes to mind).
Reasons why those anoying builds need to be nerfed.
Reasons why those farming builds need to be nerfed.
Reason why melandrus resilience is anything better than elite healing breeze.

The healing skill line for rangers is beast mastery and wilderness survival.
No healing skills for the ranger should go outside of that (aside from secondary classes of course).

There should be a strong reason to make such a radical change. Is there any? I see none.
